What you will be doing:

As a Corporate Sales Representative your main responsibility will be selling tickets. That's priority numbers 1, 2 and 3. You'll do this by meeting with high level executives, networking, cold calling and building a referral base to drive revenue. You'll also be responsible for servicing clients and helping to hit team goals.  The Corporate Sales Representative position is the perfect opportunity for those looking to get their start in sports sales.

Essential Duties and Primary Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned): 

  • Responsible for, but not limited to, generating ticket sales (ticket memberships, suites, hospitality areas, and group events) to both corporations and the general public with an emphasis on maximizing revenue
  • Implement and demonstrate outbound sales efforts by using sales and service best practices, prospecting, networking, lead generation, referral gathering, data capture and personal database management
  • Provide a superior level of customer service to all suite clients, season ticket holders, plan holders, single game buyers, new business prospects and fans alike
  • Continually create and implement unique sales strategies, ideas and programs as a means of producing new business opportunities
  • Contribute positively to the sales team culture by developing mutually beneficial working relationships with all team members
  • Participate and contribute to daily or weekly sales team meetings and training sessions
  • Model and reinforce the Pelicans "expectations" of positivity, work ethic, professionalism, respect and being the best you can be

 Competencies:

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication, customer service and problem solving skills
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects and adhere to deadlines
  • Ability to navigate the stadium in order to visit clients during home games and escort potential customers on seat tours, showing various seating options and facilities on both gamedays and non-gamedays
  • Availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays

 Qualifications

  • Looking for a leader who is sales-oriented, hard working, self-motivated, aggressive and detail-oriented to become a valuable member of our sales team.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), decision making, computer, project management, and inter-personal skills necessary.
  • Sales experience preferred but not required
  • 3-5 references available upon request
  • Start/Position: On January 8th through the completion of the 2018 season.
  • Compensation: $500/Month + 10% Commission

Director of Video Production - Myrtle Beach Pelicans (Myrtle Beach, SC)

Job Description

The Myrtle Beach Pelicans are hiring a Director of Video Production.  This is a full time position which oversees the execution and maintenance of the audio/visual elements of TicketReturn.Com Field at Pelicans Ballpark.  This person works in conjunction with the Assistant General Manager, Community Development and the Senior Director of Marketing. 

Responsibilities

  • Write game scripts and schedule in-game elements to be executed during each game.
  • Conduct gameday meetings, with the assistance of the AGM, Community Development, for front office and production staff in order to communicate gameday activities and needs.   
  • Supervise all graphical and video elements that are viewed on the ballpark’s video boards and closed circuit television systems.
  • Direct the execution of the ballpark’s entertainment from the control room, in conjunction with the AGM, Community Development and the Senior Director of Marketing who oversees all on-field activities.
  • Prepare and manage the annual operating budget for the department. 
  • Hire, train, manage, and evaluate the entire production staff.   
  • Oversee the filming and editing of all internally produced videos to include commercials, in-game elements, player profiles, social media videos, and more.
  • Graphic design work to include but not limited to advertising elements, ticket stock and more.
  • Oversee the archiving of all gameday footage and player videos
  • Coordinate interviews and player filming sessions to used throughout the gameday show as well as on social media
  • Perform additional duties as needed. 

Required Skills

  • A minimum of 2-3 years in the video department of a sports team
  • A strong interest in the sports industry and an above average understanding of baseball
  • A working knowledge and understanding of audio/visual equipment
  • Must be well organized and have the ability to work with others
  • Creativity for commercial/video production
  • A mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite including but not limited to Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Must be well versed in pop culture and current trends
  • Candidates should be able to the perform physically demanding aspects of the job
  • Candidates must be willing to dedicate 40-100 hours per week, including all home games and the majority of additional ballpark events.

Internship Description:

The intern will work directly with the Director of Food and Beverage for the 2018 Myrtle Beach Pelicans home games and any special events that occur at Ticketreturn.com field at Pelicans ballpark. Duties to include, but not limited to , all aspects of the food and beverage operation including unloading trucks, stocking stands, placing orders,  some accounting, cleaning, food safety and scheduling. Intern will also work with front office staff and grounds crew to ensure fans a great experience. 

Expectations, Duties and Skills :

·         Would like person with Food and Beverage experience. 

·         Knowledge of food safety a plus.

·         Strong Math Skills, experience with excel spreadsheets and or various computer programs.

·         Must be willing to work long hours, weekends and holidays from March thru September.

·         Works well with others and has good time management skills.

·         Ability to multi task and be on time.

·         Must have some interest in a career in the Food and Beverage industry and or Sports and Entertainment field.

You’ll gain experience hiring, traning and supervising.  In addition you’ll learn hands on skills that will help make you a well rounded operations manager

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Assistant General Manager/Operations in the areas of facility operations management and daily ballpark operations. 
  • Ensure the ballpark is kept clean by working with and serving in a supervisory role of cleaning crew
  • Assist in ensuring ballpark is setup on specific schedule prior to gates open
  • Serve as liaison and/or perform duties for custodial and maintenance needs
  • Ability to learn the ballpark operating systems, i.e. HVAC, plumbing, electrical and concessions. 
  • Assist in supervision and execution of ballpark parking operation
  • Assist in game day operations as needed as well as special events or projects.
  • Work with Pelicans parking crew to ensure a friendly efficient experience
  • Maintain relationship with front office staff and City employees in regards to operational needs.
  • Assist in the recruiting, hiring and training of ballpark cleaning personnel
  • Assist in facilitating daily game staff briefings
  • Actively participate in making the Ticket Return.com Field the best ballpark experience in the country
  • Assist on playing field as needed
  • Assist in the orchestration of outside events, i.e Myrtle Beach Marathon, Baseball at the Beach, city events, Triple Crown,etc
  • Perform additional duties as needed

Qualifications

  • Experience in general maintenance with a good working knowledge of light tools.
  • Available to work a full schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended

Hours

  • General Knowledge of Small Engine Repair preferred but not required
  • Previous experience in a similar environment
  • Prior MILB experience preferred
  • Dependable with reliable transportation
  • Willingness to pursue a career in MILB
  • Must be able to lift over 50 lbs. and stand or walk for long periods of time in adverse weather including rain and heat 
  • Overnight Shift will be required
  • Dedicated to making the Pelicans Experience the best in the country is a must
  • Ability to work in tandem yet independently with the other ops assistant
  • This is a hands on position, in both a supervisory and maintenance role

Salary/Compensation

  • Position is seasonal, beginning February 1 and ending late September. 

$1,200/month

Position Description

The Myrtle Beach Pelicans are hiring a seasonal position to assist in the production department and support the organization's in-game entertainment experience.  This person will work directly under the Director of Video Production and assist in the day-to-day operations of the production team for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. This person will also work hand-in-hand with the entire front office staff in order to enhance fan experience and in-game show at TicketReturn.Com Field at Pelicans Ballpark.

Off-season activities include script writing, video shooting, editing, graphic design, media archiving, and assisting in off-site productions. In-season activities include the additional responsibilities of organizing and planning game-day events as well as participating in game-day productions.
