Job Description: The Sponsorship Sales Manager will be responsible for corporate partnership sales efforts for the Frisco RoughRiders and Dr Pepper Ballpark.

Reports To: Chief Sales Officer

Status: Full Time Salary + Commissions

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Prospecting, soliciting, and cultivating sponsorship, advertising and corporate partnerships sales efforts for the RoughRiders and Dr Pepper Ballpark;
  • Making cold calls, solidifying meetings, delivering sales presentations, negotiating and closing corporate partnership sales;
  • Achieving and exceeding established sales goals and budgets as set by the RoughRiders;
  • Working with the corporate partnership fulfillment and activation department to ensure effective deployment of sponsorship agreements;
  • Work within the RoughRiders sponsorship department to create & implement new ideas, inventory and opportunities that will drive incremental revenues;
  • Designing and developing customized sales proposals and presentations for prospective corporate partners;
  • Utilizing and maintaining proper sales and prospect reporting procedures and databases;
  • Attending and contributing in weekly sales meetings;
  • Working and attending  key RoughRider and Dr Pepper Ballpark events, as appropriate;
  • Cultivating, building and maintaining long term working relationships with all RoughRiders staff.

 

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Must have sponsorship sales experience – minimum of 2 years;
  • Preference to have sponsorship contacts and relationships in the Dallas / Fort Worth market, but not required;
  • Bachelor’s degree an accredited college or university preferred;
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects and adhere to deadlines;
  • Proficiency with data processing and MS Office applications, especially in Power Point, Word & Excel.  Experience in Adobe Creative Suite is a plus;

The Frisco RoughRiders play at beautiful Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco, Texas. The franchise has led Double-A baseball in attendance for each of the past 12 seasons, and under a new ownership group led by General Partner & CEO Chuck Greenberg, has welcomed the three-largest and 9 of the top 11 crowds in team history since the beginning of the 2015 season. You'll be coached and trained by leaders in the sports industry, joining a ticket sales process that's been proven to be successful.

What you will be doing:

As a Corporate Marketing Manager your main responsibility will be selling tickets. That's priority numbers 1, 2 and 3. You'll do this by meeting with high level executives, networking, cold calling and building a referral base to drive revenue. You'll also be responsible for servicing clients and helping to hit team goals.

Essential Duties and Primary Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned): 

  • Responsible for, but not limited to, renewal and new season ticket sales, individual and packaged suites/hospitality, and group events to both corporations and the general public with an emphasis on maximizing revenue
  • Meet and exceed established weekly, monthly and annual sales goals
  • Implement and demonstrate outbound sales efforts by using sales and service best practices, prospecting, networking, lead generation, referral gathering, data capture and personal database management
  • Generate a pre-determined minimum number of weekly out of office as well as in ballpark “face-to-face” meetings to create new business opportunities
  • Provide a superior level of customer service to all suite clients, season ticket holders, plan holders, single game buyers, new business prospects and fans alike
  • Continually create and implement unique sales strategies, ideas and programs as a means of producing new business opportunities
  • Contribute positively to the sales team culture by developing mutually beneficial working relationships with all team members
  • Participate and contribute to daily or weekly sales team meetings and training sessions
  • Model and reinforce the RoughRiders "expectations" of positivity, work ethic, professionalism, respect and being the best you can be

Competencies:

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication, customer service and problem solving skills
  • Ability to function in fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects and adhere to deadlines
  • Ability to navigate the stadium in order to visit clients during home games and escort potential customers on seat tours, showing various seating options and facilities on both gamedays and non-gamedays
  • Availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays

 

Qualifications:

  • College degree
  • 1-2 years of sales experience (ticket sales preferred)

What you will be doing:

The Data & Analytics Coordinator for the Frisco RoughRiders will be responsible for the successful planning, development, testing, and rollout of business intelligence projects, reports, and dashboards.  This person will bring all database sources together to create statistical models that will provide leadership with direction, recommendations, and trends.  This person will search for new analytical tools that will better the organization and simplify processes.

Duties:

·         Identify and  assist in the designing of solutions that meet short and long term goals of the business

·         Ability to create predictive models based upon multiple data sources, including, but not limited to, behavioral, preferential, and demographic information

·         Identify trends and buying patterns for ticket purchasers as it relates to ticket package development and ticket related marking trends

·         Process historical sales and attendance data to identify trends and compile informative reporting

·         Assist with lead generation, lead scoring, and evaluation of sales and marketing campaigns

·         Manage campaign development and related reporting follow-up

·         Assist with building and evaluating email marketing campaigns

·         Create and maintain a strategy for survey development and implementation

·         Oversee the CRM to maintain and support CRM system and all end-users

·         Develop CRM user training and adoption sessions

·         Participate in the development of standards, best practices, processes and procedures, and automation of tasks to improve the effectiveness of the data interfaces

·         Research new technology and methods for data management

·         Stay up to date on industry trends and standards of business intelligence practices to inform department managers

·         Work with various departments to define requirements and gather data to solve business needs

·         Prepare reports, dashboards, and executive summaries

·         Automate manual processes effectively creating efficiency within the organization

·         Maintain integrity of Riders historical data.

Qualifications:

·         College degree preferred

·         Internship or 1 year of  data/analytics experience

·         Strong work ethic, organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail required

·         Ability to process data, identify trends, and present findings in an organized manner

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills

·         Must be able to multi-task and enjoy working in a team environment

·         Strong teamwork skills and the ability to manage their own individual projects

·         Be a flexible and reliable team player, both within own department and the company as a whole

·         Have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment

·         Presents self in professional manner and has the ability to interact with all levels of organization and outside contacts.

Game Day Staff (Pelicans Community Fund Raffle ) - Myrtle Beach Pelicans (Myrtle Beach Pelicans, SC)

Sell raffle tickets to fans pre-game and through the end of the 7th inning.

·         Educate fans on the details of the 50/50 raffle program and answer questions fans may have about the program.

·         Accurately handle the sale and distribution of the tickets, following program requirements.

·         Responsible for accurate cash count

·         Understand the mission of the Pelicans Community Fund.

·         Hours: approx 4 hours each Myrtle Beach Pelicans home game.
