Seasonal Part-Time Game Day Staff - Frisco RoughRiders (Frisco, TX)

Come join the RoughRiders Game Day staff for the 2017 season! We have a variety of positions open and are looking for fun, charismatic staff to fill them. Job descriptions are listed below.


Ushers are responsible for developing a friendly relationship with the customers in their section. Ushers should check the location on the customer’s ticket and escort them to their seats or direct them to another section.  Ushers must also familiarize themselves with all customer service operations so they may guide our customers to their particular need.                                         

Ticket Takers

The Ticket Takers will greet each customer that comes through the gates at the ballpark. The ticket takers will scan tickets and direct customers toward the appropriate section.

Ballpark Watch

 The Ballpark Watch staff is the security personnel for Dr Pepper Ballpark.  Ballpark Watch staff will be stationed at gates and are responsible for doing bag checks, and making sure that all items entering the ballpark are allowed in. Ballpark Watch is also responsible for making sure that our fans are complying with all ballpark policies within the entire facility.

 Tarp Crew/Grounds Crew

The tarp crew will assist the Head Groundskeeper with pre and post game duties. This job entails physical labor and responsibilities include dragging the infield, raking, repairing the mounds and batters boxes, pulling the tarp, and other duties. These persons should have excellent teamwork skills and be able to sustain heavy lifting (able to carry at least 80 lbs.).

Box Office Ticket Seller

Box Office Ticket Sellers are responsible for being the Point of Sale for our customers.  Ticket sellers will be provided the necessary training in order to use our current ticketing system to sell tickets on game days as well as non game days.  During games you will be responsible not only for selling tickets to customers, but be asked to handle Will Call Tickets as well as Exchanges and or Voucher Redemption.  There will be other Box Office duties that will need to be fulfilled on a game by game basis assigned by the Ticket Operation Managers if need be.

Riders Outpost Team Store Sales Associates

Essential Job Duties:
• Greets and acknowledges guests.
• Answers guests’ questions and assists them whenever possible.
• Recommends, selects and helps locate or obtain merchandise for guests.
• Processes sale with appropriate point of sale system, accepts payment, counts change and bags merchandise.
• Follows all register procedures and handles cash accordingly.
• Exchanges merchandise for guests and processes returns, with approval of supervisor
• Ensures that all merchandise is correctly labeled and displayed.
• Routinely stocks merchandise and faces items on shelves.
• Maintains a clean and organized store or stand.
• Sets aside and notifies supervisor of defective, mismarked, mislabeled, incorrectly priced, shopworn or damaged merchandise.
• Watches for and recognizes security risks and thefts and reports to security and management.
• Performs other duties as assigned 

*Please Note: Even if hired for one position, you may occasionally be required to work another position during a game. For example, someone hired as a Ballpark Watch may be asked to fill in as a Ticket Taker.

The Frisco RoughRiders play at beautiful Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco. The franchise has led Double-A baseball in attendance for each of the past 11 seasons, and under new ownership and leadership for the 2015 season welcomed the three-largest and 7 of the top 9 crowds in team history. The RoughRiders also completely overhauled the game entertainment experience at Dr Pepper Ballpark prior to the 2015 season, installing a massive 2,700 square foot Daktronics HD video board, new outfield wall LED display boards, state-of-the-art control room and a newly-designed sound system. After unveiling new logos, team colors and uniforms before the 2015 season, the RoughRiders became one of the biggest merchandise sellers in all of Minor League Baseball.

  • Work closely with the Assistant General Manager/Operations in the areas of facility operations management and daily ballpark operations. 
  • Ensure the ballpark is kept clean by working with and serving in a supervisory role of cleaning crew
  • Assist in ensuring ballpark is setup on specific schedule prior to gates open
  • Serve as liaison and/or perform duties for custodial and maintenance needs
  • Ability to learn the ballpark operating systems, i.e. HVAC, plumbing, electrical and concessions. 
  • Assist in supervision and execution of ballpark parking operation
  • Assist in game day operations as needed as well as special events or projects.
  • Work with Pelicans parking crew to ensure a friendly efficient experience
  • Maintain relationship with front office staff and City employees in regards to operational needs.
  • Assist in the recruiting, hiring and training of ballpark cleaning personnel
  • Assist in facilitating daily game staff briefings
  • Actively participate in making the Ticket Field the best ballpark experience in the country
  • Assist on playing field as needed
  • Assist in the orchestration of outside events, i.e Myrtle Beach Marathon, Baseball at the Beach, city events, Triple Crown,etc
  • Perform additional duties as needed


  • Experience in general maintenance with a good working knowledge of light tools.
  • Available to work a full schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended


  • General Knowledge of Small Engine Repair preferred but not required
  • Previous experience in a similar environment
  • Prior MILB experience preferred
  • Dependable with reliable transportation
  • Willingness to pursue a career in MILB
  • Must be able to lift over 50 lbs. and stand or walk for long periods of time in adverse weather including rain and heat 
  • Overnight Shift will be required
  • Dedicated to making the Pelicans Experience the best in the country is a must
  • Ability to work in tandem yet independently with the other ops assistant
  • This is a hands on position, in both a supervisory and maintenance role


  • Position is seasonal, beginning February 1 and ending late September.

Chef / Culinary - Myrtle Beach Pelicans (Myrtle Beach, SC)


Duties to include but not limited to:

Work closely with Director of Food and Beverage on the following  

    Overseeing all catered functions at field. Ie all picnics, group functions, suites.

    Assist with various concessions food offerings within ballpark.

    Monitor food quality in all areas and maintain reasonable product costs. 

    Help with ordering, cleaning, and monthly inventory. 

    Implement and follow all DHEC rules and regulations.

    Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

    Help with all deliveries.

    Be available for all 70 home games and special events, unless otherwise approved by Director

    Creativity a plus.

     Able to work long hours, weekends and holidays throughout the season.


       Competitive weekly salary to be negotiated.
